What roles are available?

The HSS offers a variety of roles, both elected and hired, for students to get involved with the council. Hiring occurs at various timepoints throughout the year, and opportunities are available for students of all years!

In addition to roles on the HSS council, we also offer a variety of roles as part of one of our committees.

Elections for executives and year representatives typically occur in January. First Year representative elections usually occur in late October/early November.

  • The HSS offers a variety of non-elected roles including council commissioners and deputies, as well as first year interns. These roles are decided on based on evaluation of written applications and interviews.

Hiring for these positions typically occurs in early March. First Year intern hiring is usually in October.

  • HSS Committees offer a variety of unique roles and leadership opportunities. Co-chair hiring typically occurs with the rest of the non-elected positions, whereas member hiring is typically between September - November.
